EHS MANAGER
Growing food manufacturing company with three manufacturing facilities in Chicago is looking for an EHS Manager with current knowledge of plant safety.
If you have an EHS degree and up to date knowledge of safety regulations, this could be a great career opportunity for you. As long as you have the knowledge in plant safety we need, any years of experience will be considered from recent college grad to highly seasoned professional. All levels invited to apply. Must be within commuting distance to our plants on the south side of Chicago. No sponsorship available and no relocation assistance offered.
About our next EHS MANAGER:
1. Has a strong understanding of Federal (OSHA) & state safety regulations
2. Leads, Design, & Monitor safety programs (Policies and Procedures) and make necessary changes to the program such as increasing safety measures when needed.
3. Provides and ensures all employees at all levels of the organization receive the adequate safety skill training, such as proper job instructions, emergency preparedness, reporting injuries, handling hazardous chemicals and the use of PPE’s.
4. Enforces the safety policies and procedures in place
5. Ensures periodic safety audits are conducted and documented
6. Reviews all accident reporting and performs investigations to determine cause and possible preventive measures.
Chicago candidates only. The three facilities are on the south side - Bedford Park, McCook and Oak Lawn area.
This is about the SAFETY of people, not the food manufacturing but experience in the specific hazards of employees engaged in food manufacturing is essential.
Company is southeast of Midway airport in Chicago, north of Oak Lawn. No relocation offered. Must live within commuting distance. No sponsorship offered. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
EHS Degree preferred!
